sql* and zip* filling up /tmp

Hi,

Since a while now I have the /tmp directory filled up with multiple sql and zip files and they keep coming untill the disk is full - They don't get deleted and i don't know where they come from or why they are made.

Is it good practice to just delete the files every night, do they have a purpose and why is it filling up my disk. They are rather big as well
