Let's Encrypt renewal on suspended users/domains

I have suspended one of the users which has Let's Encrypt certificates. I have suspended the account, because the domain is not residing at that server at the moment.

Still, the renewal process takes places and obviously it fails.

Shouldn't the renewal process be postponed or disabled when the account is suspended?
